Welcome to the demo site of our imaginary organization: Your Valuable Benefits Association (YVBA). This Help Window describes the features of our demo site along with help on how to use it. Be sure to look for the symbol to get context sensitive help as you navigate thru the site.

YVBA Demo Site Features

This working demo site illustrates several features:

  • Get Benefit Quotes:  Just click on the available sidebar links to go to a particular benefit quote window. Or click on the summary of quotes available link to see a short description of each benefit before going to the quote window.

  • Current Benefit Reports: Current members (see How To Log In as if you are a member) can view or print a summary of their existing benefits (based on regular data feeds provided by YVBA). Just click on the top right link of the main Member Services screen.

  • Benefits Shopping Cart: As users view quotes, they can decide to add to or change existing benefits by clicking on the Shopping Cart tab. The Shopping Cart compares benefits and total premiums before and after any changes requested.

  • Enrollment Wizard: Once the user adds their desired benefit changes to the Shopping Cart, the Enrollment Wizard walks them thru completing any applications, health statements, or other enrollment forms needed. The Wizard pre-populates the forms with any data we receive from YVBA. Upon completion, the Wizard prepares a PDF package containing all the completed enrollment forms ready for signature along with a cover letter and instructions for mailing. We can also submit enrollment data to YVBA electronically, if desired.

  • Security & Privacy: The site is SSL encrypted with a Verisign digital certificate. Personal benefit information is password protected and all data is stored in non-accessible password protected databases. The site provides automated, fully managed UserID and Password administration.

  • Automated Email: Users receive automated email upon registration and for various events (as desired by YVBA), such as lost passwords or electronic submission of enrollment information. Authorized home office personnel can also receive email notification of events as they occur.

  • Data Collection, Retention and Use: Data collected from users can be purged for privacy purposes or retained indefinitely to supplement YVBA's member data, depending upon YVBA's data and privacy policies. For example, email addresses collected can be used by YVBA to inexpensively market and communicate to members. Sensitive health information can be purged immediately after generation of the enrollment forms. Users can be offered the option to save partially completed sessions and return to the site at a later date.

  • Site Customization: The site can be customized with your benefits, enrollment forms, business rules, as well as the look and feel of your main website. This Help page can be customized to provide all context-sensitive help and other information for your website, benefits, and other services. We can also provide a customized context-sensitive pop-up glossary of insurance terminology or other definitions that you could make available throughout your website.

  • Hosting Options: We can host and maintain all or part of your site on our dedicated, 24/7 fully managed, leased servers.

For demo purposes, you may log in as one of the imaginary YVBA members listed in the table below. Note that since any demo user can select from the list below, you may see the results of saved sessions from previous users of the demo. Choose a UserID and PIN (or the SSN if you want to login under the "home office backdoor") and choose from the options that follow:

New Member Log In: If you see a last name as the UserID, then you may login as if you were a new user as shown on the left. This will take you to the new user registration screen where you select your permanent UserID (email address*) and PIN. You will see the existing benefits for the member you logged in as.
Returning Member Log In: If you see an email address as the UserID in the list above, then you (or someone else) has previously logged in and registered as this member. In this case, you can login as shown on the right and bypass any registration. If the user had a saved session, you will have the option to continue or start fresh.

Home Office Backdoor Log In: For demo purposes, you can also bypass the registration screen with the backdoor log in. Just use the member's Social Security Number (SSN) (preceded by the word "login") and the home office PIN (the word "demo") as shown on the left. This option will also present you with special home office functions on the Welcome screen which allow you to view and reset the member's login information.
Other Login Options: If you want to register as a non-member, click on the bottom right link to go to a new member registration screen (where you select your UserID(*) and PIN). You will have no existing benefits. If you have previously registered, the bottom left link will email you a new PIN (provided you remember your security questions).

(*) Use a valid email address when registering and you will receive sample email notifications that a member receives.

Getting Benefit Quotes

Select The Benefit You Want To Quote: Select from the links on the sidebar (or the tabs on the Shopping Cart screen) to navigate to the desired benefit quote screen.
Generate Quote: Just enter the requested information and click on the "Get Quote" tab. (For the simpler quotes, you will not need a Get Quote tab.)
Compare to Current Benefits:  If you have previously logged in, you will see a comparison to your current benefit (if any). If you haven't logged in, you can click on Click to Compare Quotes link to log in. See how to log in.
Add to Shopping Cart:  If you feel you may want to enroll or increase a particular benefit, click on the Shopping Cart link to add your quote to the Shopping Cart. From there you can decide to modify any saved quotes or start the Enrollment Wizard.
